Hear me out, you KNOW what I’m about to say. If it were up to me, I would recommend a wedding first look to all my clients. However, I know that that’s not realistic so I’m here to lay out the pros, cons, and answer questions for you!
A first look is exactly how it sounds! The first time you see each other on your wedding day. This is often a very intimate and emotional moment.
“We did a first look, it eased my nerves seeing my husband before and gave us more time to mingle with guests during cocktail hour versus running off for pictures.”
“No waiting around to see guests between wedding and reception, and I got to appreciate his reaction in a more personal setting.”
“I wish he had done one, then maybe I wouldn’t have been so nervous walking down the aisle!”
“I really loved my husband seeing me for the first time at the end of the aisle.”
“My husband wanted the traditional first look at the end of the aisle.”
A first look doesn’t have to be with your spouse! Not sure if you want to see each other before the ceremony? That’s okay! Some other first looks you could consider are:

Whatever you decide, your photographer will support you! At the end of the day it is your wedding, your photos, your memories, and they should be whatever you want them to be!
